Danielle's Story // 11.15.13 // Smoothie King

I was headed out to a Ceilidh dance hosted by our young adult ministry at our church. I realized that if I didn’t stop and get something to eat, that I wouldn’t eat until around 10pm. I thought this was a great opportunity to ask God to highlight a restaurant and person to talk to! I felt like He said to go to Smoothie King and that it would be the person that handed me my drink in the drive thru window. I knew that drive thru windows are always a bit tricky as far as giving a word, so I decided to write the word on a scrap piece of paper.

I arrived at Smoothie King, ordered my drink and paid via debit card. The beauty of paying with a debit card at this particular Smoothie King was that they hand you a clip board to sign your receipt. I forgot all about this and thought how perfectly God set me up to give this drive thru worker a word. I signed my receipt and put the prophetic word on the clipboard. As I was pulling away, I saw the worker reading the paper. I wish I could have stayed to see his reaction or even follow up with him, but I didn’t want to hold up the line! I left our email address on the note, so hopefully I will hear from him!

Danielle's Story // 11.14.13 // Starbucks

As I was leaving work, I realized that I had not eaten lunch so I decided to go to Starbucks for a quick snack! I felt like I should go through the drive through though the line was absolutely ridiculous! As I was sitting there, I was God why He wanted me to go through the drive through line versus going inside and I felt like He wanted me to pay for the girl’s drink that was behind me in line. Not only did I feel like I was supposed to buy her a drink, I felt like I was supposed to give her a word. I wrote the word down on a piece of scrap paper and handed to the Starbucks employee and asked him to give it to her when he told that her drink was free! He agreed to do so!

Again, this is one of those circumstances where I have no idea what happens after the employee gave her the paper. I left our site’s email address on it, but I have yet to hear a response! Oh well! We shall see what happens!
