Danielle's Story // 5.25.14 // Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market

After a long, but wonderful day at the MOREXIV Conference, I decided to go get a few groceries. I would usually go to Kroger on the way home, but I felt like I was supposed to go to the Wal-mart Neighborhood Market instead. I didn't really know why, but I went with that feeling!

As soon as I walked in, I saw this woman and I immediately felt like I was supposed to share an encouraging word with her. Though I had this feeling and thought, I totally chickened out! I kinda made a bargain with God that if I saw her again, I would go for it!

Lo and behold I saw her again! Not knowing how to start out a conversation with a complete stranger, I decided to be honest and tell her that I felt like I was supposed to talk to her earlier but was too scared to and how I felt like God wanted me to bring her encouragement. As soon as I said that, she started getting tears in her eyes.

I proceeded to give her the word about transition and she was like OMG I'm currently in transition and I'm about to start a new job next week. She also said how this was so encouraging for that whole situation!

After finishing this conversation, I felt like I was supposed to pray for someone with back pain. I didn't have any other words of knowledge about this person.  I kind of aimlessly wondered around the store and decided since I didn't have anymore clues, that I should just ask the next person I saw.

I saw this guy in the produce section and was like "hey! I have a random question for you… do you have back pain?" and he was like "no, why?" and I was like "I'm just out and about trying to find someone with back pain because I felt like God said He was going to heal someone of back pain!". Then he said " oh I am happy you are following His Spirit". Then we parted ways. I thought it was encouraging that the guy was not weirded out, but was encouraging me to keep looking for people.

As I continued walking around Wal-mart, I just decided to check out and go home because I was really tired! As soon as I saw my check out lady, I knew she was the one with the back pain. Once I got up to her, I asked her if she had back pain and she said she usually does, but it's not currently hurting. I asked her if I could pray for her back to not have pain again and she agreed! She repeated the prayer:

This healing belongs to me, because of what Jesus has done. I receive my healing now, in the name of Jesus.

After she prayed the prayer, I felt like I was supposed to give her a word of encouragement. After that, she said thank you for following the Spirit and that God has wanted her to talk to him and it took me boing bold and talking to her that night!

I really love how the last two people that I talked to told me to follow the spirit, because that was exactly what I was trying to do! I would encourage you to Follow the Spirit and be bold!
